Blind society launches fund-raising events

SOUTH Lincolnshire Blind Society is based in Finkin Street, Grantham, and provides a wide variety of services for local people suffering from sight loss.

The society is organising a series of fund-raising events over the coming weeks.

All funds raised from the events will be donated to local services in aid of people suffering with sight loss.

The events are open to the public, so family and friends are welcome to go along and share the fun.

Events include:

l Charity Dinner and Auction

The dinner and auction are taking place at the Masonic Hall on Chambers Street, Grantham, starting at 6.30pm on Friday, September 30. Tickets are £35.

The night will include a five course dinner and guest speaker will be snooker professional Ian McCulloch. The auction will be conducted by International snooker referee Michaela Tabb, and includes some great prizes, not to be missed.

l Clairvoyant Evening:

The Angel and Royal Hotel in Grantham is the fitting venue for the evening on Tuesday, October 4 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10.

The hotel is the country’s oldest coaching inn, and on the evening, international mediums Sue Odhams and Bryan Gibson will be leading the event, bringing messages from family and friends in the spirit world.

l Annual Charity Ball:

This year the annual charity ball is being held at Sleaford Golf Club at 7.30pm on Saturday, October 8. Tickets are £35.

The evening, with the theme ‘Black and Pearls’, starts with a four-course dinner, and leads on to a raffle and a disco.

l Variety Charity Night

The Charity Variety night takes place at Great Gonerby Social Club in Grantham on Saturday, October 8. Tickets are £10.

The night includes a host of singing, comedy and ventriloquism, organised by local fund-raiser Mick Parnham. The show starts at 8.30pm, and tickets are available from Great Gonerby Social club or the Post Office.
