A centenary celebration was held by members of Manthorpe WI.

The group of women, including Mayor of Grantham and WI group president Councillor Jacky Smith, marked 100 years of the Women’s Institute with a tea party.

Coun Smith said: “Being WI ladies we prepared the food and we had toasts, including a toast to the Queen.”

The WI group meets on the third Tuesday of the month at Manthorpe Playgroup, off Low Road in the village. New members are welcome.
