MEMORY LANE: 1980s Queen’s Guide presentation

Three girls received the Queen’s award at a 1st Long Bennington ceremony at Foston Village Hall in April 1981.

Recipients were (from left) Sally Durant, 13, of Allington, Penelope Bennet, 14, of Bennington, and Rosamund Stanley, 15, Bottesford. The presentations were made by former Brownie Brown Owl Joyce Drury (to Penelope), Mrs Emmons of 2nd Bottesford Guides (Rosamund), and Mrs Skerry.
