MEMORY LANE: Grantham band Marz cut their first disc in the 1980s

This bunch of local lads formed one of many rock bands around Grantham in the 1980s.

Pictured in July, 1983, Marz had just cut their first record and were in the Journal saying they hoped it could pave the way to the big time and a recording contract.

Formed in 1981, the band comprised of Steve Farmer on vocals, lead guitarist Dave Lamond, guitarist Mark Lindley, bassist Russ Clough and drummer Ian Padgett.
