Twenty-one-year-old Grantham organist Mike Hall signed a contract with the BBC in April, 1975, and would be featured on the radio show ‘The Organist Entertains’.

Former Central School student Mike was the last resident organist on the Compton organ of the Granada theatre in Grantham, where he played for six years.

Whilst at the Granada, he also played the organ on Radio Nottingham and was featured in a film made at the Granada by Yorkshire Television.
