Memory Lane: ‘We wear hoodies, but we’re goodies!’ said Grantham pupils

Memory Lane.
Memory Lane.

In 2005 Cliffedale Primary School’s Class 5P wrote to the Journal after hooded tops were banned from shopping centres around the country.

In the letter they said: “We believe that we and our fellow hoodie-wearers are being unfairly portrayed by some sections of the press, when they describe us as thugs.

“All types of people wear hoodies, including teachers, police officers, OAPs, vicars, and even, perhaps, newspaper editors.”
