Three members of Witham Wheelers got caught up in the middle of riots at the start of the Junior Tour of Ireland in Derry, back in August 1995.

Trouble erupted between protestors and the Royal Ulster Constabulary in the bloodiest riots since a recent ceasefire.

Adam Mitchell (left) had further bad luck in the actual race, crashing out on the second stage. Simon Iā€™Anson was one of only 15 riders from 90 starters to finish the eight-day race. Also pictured is Pat Bradley (right).
