Newton hosts charity open garden

Have your say

VISITORS are welcome at The Moat, Newton, near Grantham, on Sunday for a charity open garden event.

The two-and-a-half acre country garden has been established for nine years and features island beds, a natural pond, courtyard garden, interestingly planted ha-ha and numerous specimen trees.

It has been opened to the public to raise money as part of fund-raising by the National Gardens Scheme, which raises money for cancer charities.

Visitors are welcome at the gardens from 11am to 5pm. Entry is £3 for adults and free for children. Home-made teas will be served.
