Have your say

You might think butter wouldn’t melt when you cast your eyes over this team photograph from 1971.

But one of the line-up went on to be lead singer of successful punk rock band, Grantham’s own English Dogs (can you guess which one?).

The photograph of the National School’s 1971 football team was sent in by Ian Hamilton (middle row, second from the left).

Ian said: “It was a long time ago but I don’t remember us ever winning anything to be honest.

“We used to play at Greenlawns down near the National School. We were together for the whole season and played against a lot of other schools.”

Ian has been able to put names to most of the faces but would like to hear from anyone who can fill in the balnks.
