THESE children, with their bowl haircuts, were members of the National Junior School football team in the 1970s.

The photograph was sent in by Pam Leverett, of Orchard Close, Gonerby Hill Foot. Pam’s son is pictured sitting on the front row, on the left.

Pam said: “We have only just come across the photo again and it is such a lovely photo from such a long time ago that we thought we would send it in.”

Pam showed the picture to her son who was able to provide names for most of those pictured.

She said: “Peter remembers the team winning a cup when he was playing. I think they had a pretty good team because the National School always had a good team.”
