VILLAGE children in Folkingham are pictured here celebrating the Queen’s Coronation in 1953.

The photograph was sent in by Sheila Drury who is pictured on the back row in her days as Sheila Henton.

The children were all part of a special pageant to celebrate the coronation before all they all mingled with villagers to round off the day.

The youngsters were pictured here on the Vicarage Lawn.

Pictured are (back from left): Brian Goodwin, John Kime, Albert Henton, Neville Talton, Trevor Talton, Ann Dawson, Lindsey Harrod, Jean Holmes, Sidney King, ?, Keith Wilson, Godfrey Mackinder and Trevor Tyler; (front, from left) Mrs Mabel Fletcher, David Wilkinson, John Palmer, Denis Manton, Terry Marshall, headteacher Miss Barker, Victor Chapman, Terry Wilson, Peter Stanton, Alistair Spencer and Mrs Bullimore.
