A date for your diary is Sunday, April 26, for Grantham’s annual St George’s Day celebration.

Once again, St Peter’s Hill will be taken over by stalls, attractions and activities as organisers put on a family fun day, while in the afternoon scouts will parade through the town centre.

The Grantham Carnival and Events Group has yet to announce what it has lined up for this year’s community event, with details set to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the Grantham and District Scout Association is preparing its scouts for the annual parade, which will set off from Grantham bus station at 2pm. The various groups will march along St Peter’s Hill and High Street on their route to St Wulfram’s Church. Following a service, the parade will return, arriving back at the bus station at around 4.30pm.
