Grantham hotel was demolished in the early 1960s

Situated in 23 High Street, the Red Lion Hotel was one of Grantham’s most popular watering holes but sadly it was demolished in 1963.

However, the hotel did not go down without a fight and firefighters were called to a mystery blaze which occurred as the building was undergoing demolition.
