The Mayor’s Gala Evening at the Guildhall Arts Centre on Friday, May 4, will celebrate the talent of singers, dancers and musicians.
The line-up includes several young performers who have won acclaim at local talent shows.
They include the winner of the Rotary Young Talent award for last year, Timothy Poole; Open Mic UK award-winning singer Lauren Green; winner of this year’s Rotary Young Talent show Jessica Bacon and runners-up Leia Dykes and Alan Jones.
Two popular bands will be appearing – four-piece 60s/70s group Premier Cru featuring Barry Phillips, Geoff Braunton, John Tupper and Kevin Sheehan; and four piece band Imogen Gray featuring Craig Martini, Rob Hall, Chris Kenny and Laura Storey.
Also included in the line-up is versatile Grantham singer Dennis Hannant.
And combining music with dance will be performers from Grantham School of Dance and the Guildhall’s D2E Youth Theatre presenting excerpts from their recent production of West Side Story.
