Now in its fifth year of A-levels, Grantham’s Priory Ruskin Academy is celebrating a record-breaking year by both Year 13 and Year 12 students.

In Year 13 the overall pass rate was 100 per cent, with 44 per cent at A*-B and 69 per cent at A*-C.

Meanwhile, in Year 12 the overall pass rate was 97 per cent, up 4 per cent on last year. Just under two thirds of these grades were at A*-C.

Head of sixth form Lee Steptoe said: “Still only in our fifth year we keep smashing our own very challenging targets. We are now comfortably exceeding the national average and for a non-selective academy – this is very pleasing.

“All of our students are going on to university or apprenticeships and we are very proud of them.”
