A special day in Eastwell as new village hall is opened

Villagers past and present gathered to witness the opening of Eastwell Village Hall on Saturday.

The brand new £250,000 facility was opened by leader of Melton Borough Council Byron Rhodes, kicking off a whole day of celebration.

This included the dedication of a war memorial, a children’s disco and evening entertainment by rock and blues band Blackwater.

A special commemorative brochure was produced for the occasion, with copies handed to villagers free of charge.
