‘A super, super time’ had at May Ball in Grantham’s St Wulfram’s Church

A May Ball at St Wulfram’s Church has raised more than £1,000 to support the church choir which will visit Canterbury and Rouen later in the year.

The ball on Friday got into full swing with three DJs and a band who entertained the 180 guests in the church.

Rector of St Wulfram’s Father Stuart Cradduck said: “It was really good. The team worked so hard to organise it and everyone had a super, super time.”

Proceeds from the ball will help 40 choristers visit Canterbury, where they will sing, and to Rouen, France, where they will put on a concert.

Fr Stuart said the May Ball was such a success it will now become a regular event.

The church will host a street party in the nave on June 11 to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday.
