A1 reopens following crash at Grantham




A teenager has been taken to hospital after being involved in a crash on the A1 at Grantham this afternoon (Saturday).

After several hours of road closure, the A1 has now reopened.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the southbound carriageway at 3.07pm.

The road was closed between the A607 and Little Ponton turn-offs while Lincolnshire Police officer carried out an investigation.

Tailbacks stretched back for several miles and a diversion was put in place.

The incident involved one car and one male teenager was taken to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, with potentially serious injuries.
