Accountant from Leadenham accused of fraud totalling nearly £12,000

A 41-year-old woman has been accused of six counts of fraud to gain nearly £12,000 while working as an accountant for a crop spraying company.

Melody Espin of Bridge Cottages, Cliff Road, Leadenham, is alleged to have committed fraud by abuse of position on six seperate occasions between March 5 and July 29 this year.

She stands charged with taking different amounts on each occasion, totalling £11,873.61.

Appearing before Grantham magistrates on Monday, Espin entered no plea to all six charges. Her case has been sent to Lincoln Crown Court commencing on November 23, and in the meantime she remains on unconditional bail.
