By Grantham Reporter

Media pupils at Grantham College have had their first taste of fame after being filmed for a promotional trailer for a Grantham dance company.

Alexander Ansell and Ryan Doncaster took part in the trailer which will be used to promote the UK Ballet tour of Alice in Wonderland across the UK for the Chantry Dance Company which are based in Grantham.

With props larger than life and a range of dancers all in period appropriate costumes, the two students were joined by media lecturers Mark Fowler and Neil Riley to film the trailer in Grantham last month.

Assistant principal for higher education, Dr Steven Peacock said: “This is a great initiative for our higher education media students.

“Both Alexander and Ryan said they learned so much throughout the day and are continuing to learn with the post production.

“The piece is currently being edited together.”

The promotional trailer for the tour of Alice in Wonderland will be sent to theatres across the UK for screening and will be available to watch on the website for the Chantry Dance Company.
