Anglian Water issue warning over bogus callers threat in Grantham




Anglian Water are warning householders to be vigilant after reports of bogus callers operating in the Grantham area.

A spokesman said: "We've had some reports of bogus callers operating in the Grantham area.

"Bogus callers may claim to be from Anglian Water or even from ‘the water board’.

"Everyone calling on our behalf always carries an identity card which they will give you to inspect. It has a Braille strip on the back and the freephone number for Anglian Water."

Customers in any doubt should close the door and phone us, for free, on 03457 145 145.

It comes after two men claiming to be from Anglian Water stole £1,700 after being allowed into a house in Queensway, Grantham on Monday.
