Police are investigating the theft of a Land Rover from a driveway in Ingoldsby.

The theft took place on Tuesday night or the early hours of Wednesday. A black Land Rover Defender 90 was stolen. The vehicle was found abandoned along Ponton Road near Boothby Pagnell at 9am this morning, having been stripped of parts.

The theft is just one of a spate of incidents in which vehicles or their parts have been stolen. Lincolnshire Police reported a number of incidents over the Bank Holiday.

If any one has any information regarding any suspicious people or vehicles particularly in the Ingoldsby, Sapperton or Pickworth areas, call 101 and refer to incident 31 of May 4 2016.

A police spokesman said: “The theft of this type of vehicle is not an isolated incident in the rural area surrounding Grantham. As such Land Rover owners should take any possible additional security measures to protect their vehicle. Please pass on this information to anyone you know who owns or has access to a Land Rover of any type.”
