Appeal for witnesses after fatal collision on A1 at Marston

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the A1 at Marston yesterday.

The collision involved a white Audi A1 car and a DAF lorry. The driver of the Audi, a 59-year-old woman from North Hykeham, remains in a critical condition at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. Her front seat passenger, a lady in her 70s from Bassingham, sadly died at the scene.

The lorry driver is not believed to have been injured. The road was eventually reopened around 8pm.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting the incident number 206 of March 21, or call the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855.
