Appeal for witnesses after man sustains serious eye injury in Grantham bar

Police are appealing for witnesses after a member of staff received a serious eye injury at the Atrium on Grantham High Street.

Any witnesses who were in the Atrium between 00.30am and 1am on Friday, May 1 are asked to contact police.

At approximately 00.45am that morning an altercation took place at the venue which resulted in a 35-year-old male member of staff receiving a serious eye injury.

Two local men aged 35 and 45 were arrested. They have been released on bail to return to the police station at a later date after further enquires have been made.

Detective Constable 517 James Thompson of Grantham CID is appealing for anyone who may have been in the Atrium at that time and who may have witnessed what happened.
