Are you in a flap after losing a chicken in Grantham?

A Grantham homeowner is wondering if anyone has lost a chicken, after one appears to have flown the coop and taken up residence in their back garden.

Roy Conder of Lodge Way says the chicken has been there for about a week, and is concerned that if it’s not taken home to roost soon it will be caught by the local cats.

“I’ve asked about but nobody in the road owns a chicken, so I’ve no idea where it came from,” said Mr Conder. “There are a couple of cats around here so I’m worried it won’t last much longer.”

He has been feeding the chicken corn but wants to help return the lost bird.
