Armed robbery at newsagents in Grantham

An investigation is underway after a man used a knife to threaten a female staff member at a Grantham newsagents, before making off with cash from a till.

It took place at around 8.35pm on Tuesday, December 22, at Michelson News on Victoria Street. A male offender went into the shop carrying a small knife, and threatened the female staff member at the shop. He then stole a quantity of cash from the till.

The woman involved was not injured, but was left shaken up.

The offender is described as a white man, around 5ft 8in in height, and wearing dark clothing. He was last seen running off onto Hudson Way in Grantham.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything in relation to the robbery, or anyone who has any information that they think could help the enquiry, to contact them on 101 quoting incident 381 of 22/12/2015.
