Grantham Art Club collaborate to create painting

Grantham Art Club members combined forces to produce an acrylic painting of a disused coastal tin mine.

The group meets every Friday at 7pm at the Manners Street community centre in Grantham.

As well as partaking in group activities, the club also has ‘do your own thing’ sessions and in-house competitions.

Nelson Porter, organiser of the club, said: “It makes a nice group activity. You can see what techniques different people use. It’s a fun activity for the club.”

The club is holding an exhibition in the coffee lounge inside the Guildhall from April 27 to May 23.

Nelson continued: “We welcome new members. If anyone is interested, come to the session and talk to us.”
