Artists to showcase talent at Grantham Museum

Work by local artists is being showcased at an exhibition at Grantham Museum this month.

The exhibition, which is being run by Grantham Art Group with a few paintings from Kesteven Leisure Artists Society, opened yesterday (Thursday) featuring a wide variety of paintings and drawings covering different subjects and media, including landscapes and abstracts, all of which are for sale.

Nelson Porter, of Grantham Art Group, said: “People spend a good amount of money on paintings from famous artists but come and see what kind of original painting you could have by a local artist at a good price.”

Exhibitions director Christine Robbins added: “The art exhibitions are always popular with visitors. The paintings are for sale at some really affordable prices so it’s a great opportunity for some early Christmas shopping.”

The exhibition runs until Saturday, November 24, 10am and 4pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
