Astronaut Tim Peake's visit to the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton is a big boost for Grantham

British astronaut Tim Peake paid a special visit to the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton this week.

Major Peake visited Woolsthorpe Manor to plant a special ‘space sapling’ that has grown from one of a number of seeds which were launched into space to the International Space Station in 2015.

He also presented seven ‘space saplings’ to the winners of a competition which was launched in Grantham at the 2018 Gravity Fields Festival.
