Attempted break-ins at Swayfield homes

Police news.
Police news.

Three attempts were made to break into houses in Swayfield last week.

On Wednesday and Thursday break-ins were attempted on Corby Road. Each of the properties backs on to the fields leading towards the A151 and footpaths to Birkholme and Corby Glen.

Doors to the properties show signs of tool marks and shed padlocks have also been broken and sheds searched. It is thought that access has been made through the rear gardens either along the footpaths in the fields, or a vehicle has parked nearby and the pathways between properties used to access the fields to the rear.

If anyone has information regarding suspicious people or vehicles in the area around Wednesday, May 6, call 101 and quote the incident numbers 54 or 388 of May 7.

Householders are asked to check their homes and outbuildings for any signs of an attempt to break-in, and report it via 101.
