Former Tory Party leader Iain Duncan Smith spoke to the Journal on his brief visit to Grantham on Saturday.
The Tory MP for Chingford and Woodford Green said the UK was wasting £350 million a week on the EU which could be better spent on the NHS and other services in the UK.
Mr Duncan Smith met plenty of people in the town who wanted to discuss the EU and tell him which way they were going to vote in the referendum on June 23.
He told the Journal that he was very pleased with the way the Vote Leave campaign was going. He said of his visit to Grantham: “I love the market, I love the people. I thought it was great and I met people, some who were undecided still, but also many who have said it’s time to go.”
