A WELL-KNOWN Grantham band has released its very own CD in aid of a charitable cause.
The Premier Cru is made up of Barry Phillips, Geoff Braunton, John Tupper and Kevin Sheehan, and is managed by Ray Klingels.
Their CD, entitled ‘Our Boys’, has been recorded to raise money for the Royal Anglian Regiment Benevolent Fund, which helps soldiers returning from Iraq, Afghanistan and other conflicts around the world.
Barry, who wrote the songs featured on the CD with help from his band-mates, said: “We are very pleased to help the benevolent fund. There are many, many well-deserving causes to support with limited monies.”
Barry and Ray formed the limited partnership Guitar Music Partners, which is behind the CD. The aim of the partnership is to ‘raise funds for well-deserving charities through the medium of music’.
‘Our Boys’ is on sale for £6.99 at the Carphone Warehouse, in High Street, Grantham, or to download online for £5 at www.thepremiercru.co.uk
