Barrowby man charged after assaulting police officer in Grantham

A man has been charged with assault after being accused of beating a police officer on Grantham High Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Nathan Squires, 25, of West Corner, Barrowby is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on April 23. He has also been charged with criminal damage.

A police spokesperson said: "Incident 18 of March 24. This is in relation to an assault and criminal damage in High Street, Grantham, reported at 12.42am on March 24."
