Crews were called to a fire in the cellar of a block of flats in Great Ponton on Tuesday night.

Firefighters from Grantham, Corby Glen and Sleaford tackled the fire at the Blue Horse Inn, a former pub, just after 10pm.

The cellar where the blaze began belongs to Jack Crossland, who sent in this picture. He said: “Everyone was evacuated for four hours as the brilliant fire crew fanned out flat. No one was hurt, everyone is safe.”

There was fire damage in the basement and smoke damage to the rest of the building. A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the cause of the was under investigation.
