Two Grantham pubs have suffered burglaries in the past week, during which cash, spirits and their tills were taken.
Sometime between 12:05am and 10:30am on Thursday, November 20, an offender or offenders are believed to have entered the White Lion Pub on Bridge End Road in Grantham. It is thought access was gained by forcing a ground floor window.
A charity collection box and ‘bonus ball bag’ containing a quantity of cash were stolen from inside, along with two bottles of spirits.
The till was also stolen but was empty and later found abandoned near the River Witham (incident number 137 of 20/11/2014).
The this Wednesday, November 26, the Royal Queen Pub on Belton Lane was burgled between 1am and 6am.
It is believed offenders gained access via an insecure ground floor window.
Alcohol and the till, which contained a quantity of cash, were stolen from inside (incident number 37 of 26/11/2014).
Officers have urged business owners, and householders, to remain vigilant about security of their premises and have asked anyone who may have any information relating to either burglary to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting either of the incident numbers and dates.
