A Harlaxton business will be featured twice on national television next week in the Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover series.

Couture Cases, launched at the Great British Exhibition run by interior design practice Union Interiors of Union Street, Grantham, is a unique business which offers customisable and bespoke radiator covers, console tables and mantel shelving.

Its best-selling products, fabric, upholstered and digitally-printed radiator covers, will be featured three times in the series.

Director Alison Johnson said: “The feedback from everyone on the show has been fantastic. We are particularly excited to be included in the launch episode.”

The business – launched in September last year – has also received praise from makeover specialists and designers like Linda Barker and Julia Kendell, as well as some of the country’s award-winning designers and decorators.

The idea originated 15 years ago, as the founders wondered why no-one had launched radiator covers that were design-led, practical and more efficient than any currently on the market, the vast majority of which were made of wood or MDF.

Alison said: “Our Crystal range allows all heat to escape from radiators with no loss of heat to the room at all. We believe all our covers, in all ranges, are the most effective on the market as well as being beautiful to look at.”

There are currently more than 1,000 print and fabric options. The covers, which cost from £200, allow customers to co-ordinate with their furnishings, curtain and blinds – the company is currently creating covers for a Swiss chalet, on a reindeer theme.
