Tonight (Friday), staff from Moy Park in Grantham will hold a charity auction at The Black Dog pub, in Watergate.

The team are doing it to raise money for the Journal Children’s Fund: Christmas Cracker Appeal.

There is a truly impressive haul of lots going under the hammer, plus some fabulous raffle prizes. Auction lots include meals out, West End tickets, a camera, spa breaks, jewellery, sporting tickets and Merlin passes, while the raffle items include a Sunday roast, flatscreen TV, make-up sets, a cash prize and bottles of wine.

The auction starts at 7pm, with Moy Park general manager Nigel Laing as auctioneer.

In addition The Black Dog has pledged to donate five per cent of takings to the appeal. And following the auction, the pub will host a mini race night.

The auction promises to be great fun and everyone is welcome. Proceeds will go to the Christmas Cracker Appeal.
