A couple have moved from the London area to Grantham to begin their new wet cleaning business in Wharf Road.

Nish and Vimal Sachania have set up Pristine in place of the former Kismet bar.

Vimal said the business was similar to dry cleaning but used non-toxic and environmentally friendly, highly concentrated detergents to clean clothes. It also allows them to clean more types of fabric, including leather and silk.

Pristine opens tomorrow (Saturday) with a number of special offers and the chance to win a meal for two in a prize draw.

Vimal said: “We are passionate about wet cleaning and about the brand Miele. We want to be a part of the business and local community and we are bringing something new to the town.”

Vimal has an engineering background and Nish has a degree in textiles and has extensive experience in retail. They have been visiting Grantham for the past six months visiting family and friends and preparing for their new venture.

Nish said: “We really like the town. It has lots of history and the people are very friendly.

“We are confident we can do well here.”
