A long-established village store and post office in Long Bennington could become a hot food takeaway if plans are approved by the planning authority.

Richard Potts has applied for permission from South Kesteven District Council to change the use of the premises currently housing Potts Stores, and next door to Sharricks Fish Bar, from retail to hot food takeaway.

The move follows the application to build and subsequent opening of a Co-op store in the village, also in Main Road.

If granted, the front part of the premises would become a serving area, with a preparation area, kitchen/store and WC taking up the remainder of the internal space, which is a total of 83 square metres.
