LOVE was in the air recently when Keith Boseley got down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend - while on a flight to Spain.
Keith, 57, planned the proposal with the flight attendants after deciding to ask his partner of six-months Carol Beaumont, 56, to marry him.
Aircraft engineer Keith said: “I racked my brains trying to think of a special way to propose and when we planned the holiday, I immediately knew it would be a great idea, as long as she said yes!
“When I got down on one knee, I felt really nervous but it was all worthwhile when she accepted. We were on cloud nine, literally!”
Carol, who has lived with Keith in Grantham since they met on a dating website, said: “I was so shocked when Keith went down on one knee and couldn’t believe it when I realised that the bmibaby team were involved too. It hasn’t really sunk in yet.”
Managing director of bmibaby Julian Carr said his team were delighted when Keith approached them with his idea to propose mid-flight.
He said: “We organised for the pilot to announce that someone had something to ask and celebrated afterwards with champagne. It was a really special moment and great for all the customers and crew to witness such a happy event. We wish Keith and Carol all the best for the future.”
