The opening of Danish furniture retailer JYSK is set to boost the economy in Grantham by creating jobs in the town.
JYSK (pronounced yusk) will employ 10-15 new staff in a range of positions, including store manager.
The Grantham branch will replace the Dreams furniture store in London Road, which closed earlier this year.
Country manager for UK stores Steve Stenhouse said: “We are particularly keen on the location we have identified in Grantham.
“JYSK aim to add choice and quality at irresistible prices to an already dynamic retail market place.”
The Scandinavian company specialises in affordable goods for the bedroom and bathroom, as well as general home furnishings.
This includes a range of beds, duvets, sofas and dining table sets.
The opening of the Grantham store on September 27 will be celebrated by a number of activities and discounts.
A free gift will be given to the first 50 people through the door, while customers can expect to see discounts of up to 75 per cent.
Staff will also be serving traditional Danish breakfasts throughout the day.
The global brand is growing rapidly, with a reported two new JYSK stores opening every week.
JYSK can be found in 35 countries worldwide and recently opened its 2,000th branch. The Grantham store will be the ninth to open in the UK.
Mr Stenhouse said: “We are committed to offering customers a great deal with quality goods at low prices.”
The store will open at 9am on September 27.
