SHOPPERS had a treat at Asda on Tuesday when they were greeted by Diwali celebrations and dancing.
Pharamacist Jigna Raja organised the celebration of the festival of lights for her colleagues.
She said: “It’s gone really brilliantly. We’ve done some dancing and are having a really good time. It really feels like it’s Diwali now.”
The Hindu celebration of Diwali was on Wednesday.
Jigna said: “It’s like Christmas, we eat lots, party lots and have fireworks.”
Store manager Adele Woolgar was surprised by how many of the staff wanted to get involved.
She said: “It seemed like the perfect opportunity to start raising for Children in Need, a charity we will do a lot more for in November.”
