South Kesteven District Council has paid coronavirus grants to 70% of eligible businesses
Many businesses have not received the coronavirus grants they are eligible for, according to new data.
As of Monday, the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce said that South Kesteven District Council had paid out 70 per cent of the funds allocated to it - a total of £22,150,000 to 1,834 businesses. But it received £31,698,000 and has 2,583 eligible businesses - meaning that 749 businesses have yet to benefit from the scheme.
However, SKDC says it is among the country’s leading local authorities when it comes to paying out vital grants to help small businesses through the coronavirus crisis - and urged eligible businesses to complete the necessary paperwork in order to receive their grant.
