A new Costa Coffee cafe will open up at the end of April at The Meres Leisure Centre as phase one of a £600,000 upgrade of the building.

The centre says the new-look café will offer customers a relaxing area to socialise and high quality coffee and refreshments.

The Costa Coffee café is due for completion at the end of April and is the first part of a £600,000 investment which is being carried out by 1Life in partnership with South Kesteven District Council.

Commenting on the new café offering, Neil King, managing director at 1Life said, “As part of the five year contract extension that South Kesteven District Council has awarded to 1Life, we have made a commitment to developing a range of new services at Grantham Meres. The Costa Coffee shop is the first of these improvements. We wanted to be able to provide our centre visitors with a coffee shop solution that offered a quality product that was backed by excellent service. The Costa Coffee franchise offers a recognised brand providing customers with a quality product and service.”

Paul Stokes, Business Manager for Venues and Facilities at South Kesteven District Council, said: “We are delighted to extend the contract with 1Life who were offering the council significant support in achieving our local outcomes, modernising the leisure facilities, driving participation and introducing some health and wellbeing initiatives for customers of all ages.”
