Organisers of the Grantham Music Festival are calling on volunteers to help with the running of the event in March.
The festival runs from Wednesday to Monday, March 2 to 7. The Trophy winners’ concert will take place on Saturday, March 12 at 7pm.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “The Festival is dependent upon those people who volunteer to help with the running of the sessions. There is a group of dedicated volunteers who return year after year to help, but the committee do also need to recruit a few more people to help.
“If you think you can spare a couple of hours to help it would be gratefully appreciated. We need doorkeepers, stewards, runners and scribes at each session. We also need people to help setting up and clearing away. In addition to The Primary Music Making afternoon (Wednesday, March 2) we have as many choirs taking part in the Primary Schools choir’s session on Monday, March 7 (morning) and both these sessions will require more helpers than we have had in the past.”
A helpers meeting will be held on Monday, February 22, in the parlour of ChristChurch, Finkin Street, at 7.30pm. Please come along and bring anyone you know who is interested in helping.
If you are unable to go to the meeting but are able to help in some way, email via the website at www.granthammusicfestival.co.uk
