Car collided with electrical cabinet in Hose

Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision last night (Tuesday), at 9.40pm.

Two fire and rescue crews from Melton were called to the scene in Clawson Lane, Hose, by police officers concerned that the car involved had collided with electrical equipment contained in a green BT cabinet, coupled with the smell of fuel.

Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle in a grass verge. Two casualties were assessed by a fire service emergency medical technician. They determined there was no need for an ambulance and the pair were taken to their homes.

The vehicle was made safe by the fire service. and BT technicians were called to see to the damage caused to the green cabinet.
