Car crashes into shop in Grantham




A shop in Grantham has been damaged after a car crashed into the shopfront.

Emergency services were called to Marren Tiles, London Road, on Saturday, following the two-car collision.

Store owner Mark Dilloway was at the shop at the time of the incident.

He said: "I was sat in my office at the back and heard an almighty bang and the sound of breaking tiles.

"There has been a fair bit of damage to the shop. It has pushed the wall in slightly and damaged the windowsill and where the corner door was blocked up years ago is all smashed up."

There are not thought to be any injuries and no pedestrians were hurt in the collision.

A police spokesperson said: "Incident 116 of 13 June refers to a two vehicle non-injury RTC on London Road.

"The vehicles involved were a grey Peugot 3008 and a blue Toyota Rave."
