Car used to smash display window in attempted burglary at Downtown in Grantham

Police are investigating an attempted commercial burglary at the Downtown Superstore near Grantham.

Police were alerted to the incident at 2.43am this morning. The suspects are believed to have used a dark coloured Land Cruiser or similar vehicle, to reverse through the display window at the main entrance, but they did not gain entry.

A vehicle possibly connected to the incident has been found burnt out on Fen Lane, Long Bennington.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious looking vehicles or people in the area, or anyone who has any information that may prove relevant to the enquiry. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 24 of December 10. Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
