Casting company behind Jojo Rabbit and Netflix's Top Boy searching for undiscovered talent in Grantham
A BAFTA-winning casting company for film and TV is looking to cast two roles that require an 'East Midlands accent' for a new comedy series set in nearby Leicester.
Des Hamilton Casting, which specialises in finding undiscovered talent, has recent credits which include Top Boy for Netflix, the Oscar-winning feature Jojo Rabbit, and The King, starring Timothée Chalamet and Robert Pattinson.
The company hopes to cast the roles locally, possibly with undiscovered talent.
A spokesperson for Des Hamilton said: "As we are not necessarily looking for experienced actors for these roles, we are trying to share the opportunity as widely as we can across Leicester and the East Midlands, in the hope of finding new talent from the region."
The first role description is: male, in his late 20s, British Indian, East Midlands accent, ideally able to speak some Gujarati, confident, a joker, a bit of a troublemaker but has a good heart.
The second role description is: 15–19 year old boy, British Indian, East Midlands accent, bright, energetic, funny, has a popular youtube channel.
