Chains, padlocks and a blindfold were unusual props for a sponsored walk around Grantham town centre.

Marta Ager was blindfolded and Janice Webb wore chains to highlight the plight of victims of human trafficking.

The street collection was for the Salvation Army’s work with rescued victims of trafficking in the UK, and for the ChristChurch Community Project, which is updating the Finkin Street church to make it accessible to all.

Sponsorship, donations and the street collection have raised £1,061, which will be shared equally between the two causes.

The picture shows Marta and Janice together with some of the members of Grantham churches who supported them during the walk.
